Checking tire pressure
Regular checks
PROCEDURE
The correct tire pressures for your vehicle are specified on the label affixed inside the fuel filler flap.
If ride comfort is important to you, follow the values specified there. If you are willing to accept somewhat poorer suspension comfort in exchange for better steering response, slightly longer tire life and slightly lower fuel consumption, increase the pressure for summer tires by 0.2 bar.
Winter tires should always be inflated 0.2 bar higher than specified for summer tires.
After only a few kilometers of fast driving, tire pressure rises by 0.2–0.4 bar. This pressure increase due to heating has already been taken into account in the recommendations, so it should not be reduced. It is best to have your own tire pressure gauge, so that pressure can be measured before starting the trip, when the tires are cold.
