Diesel engine vehicles are equipped with an auxiliary heater for rapid heating of the passenger compartment. The auxiliary heater switches on and off automatically depending on the coolant temperature whenever the outside temperature is below +5 °C and the engine is running.

To save fuel, you can switch off the auxiliary heater by briefly pressing the (ECON) button on the air conditioning control unit.
