Dusting and cleaning
- Lightly dampen a cloth and wipe the upholstery.
Stain removal
- Dampen a cloth with lukewarm water or diluted alcohol.
- Dab the stain, working from the outside towards the centre.
- Wipe the cleaned area with a soft cloth.
Do not use leather care products to clean Alcantara upholstery.
You can also use a shampoo to remove dust and dirt.
Dust and dirt particles can rub into the pores, folds and seams and damage the surface layer of the leather.
Protect Alcantara from prolonged direct sunlight to prevent discolouration. Slight discolouration due to use is normal.
Warning!
- Alcantara must never be treated with solvents (e.g.
wax polish, shoe polish, stain remover, leather care product or similar products).
- To remove ingrained stains, contact a specialist workshop to avoid causing damage.
- Do not use brushes, abrasive sponges, etc. for cleaning.
- Keep the seat belts clean.
- Clean dirty seat belts with a mild soapy solution.
- Check the condition of the seat belts regularly.
Heavy soiling of the webbing can impair the operation of the automatic retractor. Only retract automatic seat belts once they are completely dry.
Warning!
- Do not dismantle the seat belts for cleaning.
- Seat belts must not be cleaned with chemical cleaning agents that can attack the webbing fibres. They must also not come into contact with corrosive liquids.
- Have the seat belts replaced by a specialist workshop if the webbing fibres, anchorages, automatic retractor or locking buckle are damaged.
