Installing the low beam bulb

Look into the headlight reflector before installing the bulb. This will make the job easier.

• Insert the new bulb into the plastic connector and push the bulb base fully into the connector => see “General Information”.
• Insert the bulb with the connector into the headlight housing, with the connector lug facing up.
• First insert the lower part of the bulb => Fig. 260 into the housing at position (A).
• Make sure the lug (b) is at the top centre so that it engages in the guide as shown in the figure.
• Look into the main headlight from the front => Fig. 261 and check the installation.
• Lift the plastic connector in the direction of the arrow => Fig. 260 until the bulb engages in the holder. If this does not work at first, correct the position of the bulb.
• Check that the seal is correctly positioned on the housing cover.
• Fit the housing cover into the lower holders and press the upper part into the main headlight until the upper locking tab engages.
• Check whether the new bulb lights up.
• Have the headlight aim checked as soon as possible.
