Spare wheel

The spare wheel is located in the well in the luggage compartment, under the load floor.

• Fold the load floor completely down in the direction of the arrow using the handle (A) => Fig. 239
• Turn the retaining bolt (B) and remove the cover.
• Remove the spare wheel Fig. 240.

In some export countries, the spare wheel is replaced by a flat emergency wheel*.

Spare wheel with directional tread

If you must use a wheel with a directional tread instead of the spare wheel, observe the following:

• The direction of rotation is marked by an arrow on the tire sidewall.
• If the wheel is fitted in the opposite direction to that indicated by the arrow, the tire's aquaplaning, noise and rolling resistance characteristics are no longer optimal. Adjust your speed accordingly, especially when driving on wet roads. Use of the wheel in the wrong direction of rotation must only be temporary.
