Flat spare wheel (emergency wheel)
The flat spare wheel (emergency wheel) must only be used temporarily.
Using the flat emergency wheel
The flat emergency wheel is intended only for exceptional cases, to allow you to drive to the nearest workshop.
It must therefore be replaced with a normal wheel as soon as possible.
Use of the flat emergency wheel is subject to certain restrictions. The flat emergency wheel has been specially developed for your vehicle type. For this reason, it must not be replaced with the emergency wheel of another vehicle type.
Do not fit a normal tire or winter tire to the rim of the flat emergency wheel.
Snow Chains
For technical reasons, the use of snow chains on the flat emergency wheel is not permitted.
If snow chains are essential, then in the event of a front tire puncture, fit the flat emergency wheel in place of one of the rear wheels. Fit snow chains to the removed rear wheel and mount it in place of the defective front wheel.
CAUTION!
- After fitting the temporary spare wheel, check the tyre pressure as soon as possible. The tyre pressure of the temporary spare wheel must be 4.2 bar - risk of accident!
- Do not drive faster than 80 km/h - risk of accident!
- Avoid full-throttle acceleration and hard braking, and do not take corners at high speed - risk of accident!
- Never drive with more than one temporary spare wheel - risk of accident!
- Do not fit a standard tyre or a winter tyre on the rim of the temporary spare wheel.
