The radiator fan may switch on automatically.

After the engine is switched off, the auxiliary fan may continue to run for up to 10 minutes, even with the ignition switched off. It may also switch on again after some time.

  • the coolant temperature has risen due to heat build-up, or
  • the hot engine compartment is also exposed to sunlight.

CAUTION!

When working in the engine compartment, be aware that the fan may switch on automatically - risk of injury.
