Throttle Cable Adjustment

The throttle cable is very sensitive to kinks, so take care when installing it. A small kink may later lead to cable breakage during driving. Do not install a cable that is damaged.
On vehicles with automatic speed control (cruise control), an additional throttle cable is attached to the throttle lever. If necessary, this cable is disconnected in the same way as the main cable.

Adjustment

PROCEDURE
1. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and hold it in this position. To do this, place a wooden block between the seat and the pedal.
2. Press the throttle lever to the wide-open throttle position and turn the adjusting nut (1) so that the cable is tensioned, refer to the illustration. Release the accelerator pedal

Disconnecting the Throttle Cable from the Throttle Lever

PROCEDURE
1. Open the throttle with the throttle lever to relieve the throttle cable nipples. Refer to the accompanying illustration.
2. Remove the nipple (2) from the segment.
3. Remove the cable housing from the support (1).

Connecting the Cable

PROCEDURE
1. Pass the cable through the rubber bushing of the support.
2. Open the throttle with the throttle lever, connect the cable nipple. Check the throttle cable adjustment.
