Gear shifting

Using the selector lever

► To upshift, pull the lever back.
► To downshift, push the lever forward.

Using the steering wheel switches

► To upshift, pull either switch toward you.

► To downshift, push either switch away from you.

In the following situations the sequential gearbox anticipates your actions:

► Upshifting or downshifting occurs only at the appropriate engine speed and vehicle speed (e.g., downshifting does not occur at excessively high engine speed).

► When the vehicle stops, first gear is engaged automatically.

► Shortly before reaching the minimum speed threshold for the current gear, a lower gear is engaged automatically.
