The display shows the selector lever position and the engaged gear (in manual mode).

Shifting between positions

► The gear selector lever can be moved out of position P only with the engine running: Interlock function.

► Before moving the selector lever out of position P or N, depress the brake pedal. Otherwise the selector lever will be locked: Shiftlock function.

Keep the brake pedal depressed until you are ready to start moving, because the vehicle is ready to move immediately once a drive position is engaged.

В коробке передач предусмотрена блокировка, которая препятствует случайному включению

The transmission is equipped with a lock that prevents accidental engagement of positions R and P. To release the lock, press the button on the front side of the selector lever, see arrow.

P: Park position

Select this position only after the vehicle has come to a complete stop. In this position the drive wheels are locked.

R: Reverse gear

Select this position only after the vehicle has come to a complete stop.

N: Neutral position (engine idling)

Select this position, for example, in car wash installations. In this position, the vehicle is not secured against rolling.

D: Normal driving mode with automatic gear shifting

This is the normal driving position. All forward gears are shifted automatically.

Kick-Down

The "Kick-Down" mode allows maximum acceleration. Press the accelerator pedal past the full-throttle position, past the point of increased resistance.

Sport Program and Manual Mode M/S

Переведите рычаг селектора из положе-ния D влево на линию M/S: включается спортивная

Move the selector lever from position D to the left to the M/S line: the sport program is activated and the "DS" indicator appears in the instrument cluster. This position is recommended for drivers who prefer a dynamic driving style.

Push the lever forward or pull it back to activate the manual "Steptronic" mode. The indicator from M1 to M6 appears in the instrument cluster.

Upshifts and downshifts occur only at the appropriate engine speed and vehicle speed (for example, a downshift is not performed when engine speed is too high).

The selected gear and then the actual gear are briefly displayed in the instrument cluster.

To return to automatic mode, move the selector lever to the right into position D.
