Body

Structure
The structure of this vehicle is designed to meet the most demanding front and rear impact standards.
The structure consists of reinforced zones and programmed deformation zones, thereby limiting the risk of occupant injury.
The body is entirely new, a three-box saloon with tailgate. It sits on an entirely new underbody that will serve as the base platform for all future vehicles in the M2 and H segments.
The body is made of steel sheet, with local use of high-strength steel (HSS) and ultra-high-strength steel (UHSS) for the windscreen pillar linings.
It is assembled using 4200 spot welds and weld-bonding for the rear floor.
The reinforcing parts (side members, longitudinal members, cross members) are made of thick sheet steel (approximately 2 to 2.5 mm).
The body shell weighs 369 kg.
