USB Port

Insert the USB key into the USB port or connect the USB device to the USB port using a suitable cable (not supplied).

To protect the system, do not use a USB hub.

The system creates playlists (temporary memory), which can take from a few seconds to several minutes to build on first connection.

Reducing the number of non-music files and the number of folders shortens the waiting time.

Playlists are updated each time the ignition is switched off or a USB key is connected.

Lists are stored: if the lists are not changed, the next loading time is reduced.

Auxiliary (AUX) Socket

Depending on equipment

Connect the portable device (MP3 player, etc.) to the Jack socket using an audio cable (not supplied).

This source is only available if "Auxiliary input" has been ticked in the audio settings.

First set the volume of the portable device to a high level. Then adjust the volume of the car radio.

Controls are operated via the portable device.

Selecting the Source

Press Radio Media to display the main page.

Press the "SOURCES" button.

Select the source.

Bluetooth Audio Streaming

Audio Streaming lets you listen to the audio stream from the smartphone.

The Bluetooth profile must be activated.

First set the volume of the portable device to a high level. Then adjust the volume of the system.

If playback does not start automatically, it may be necessary to start audio playback from the smartphone.

Control is via the device or by using the system's touch keys.

Once connected via Audio Streaming, the smartphone is treated as a media source.

Apple Player Connection

Connect the Apple player to the USB port using a suitable cable (not supplied).

Playback starts automatically.

Control is via the audio system controls.

The available browse categories are those of the connected portable player (artists / albums / genres / playlists / audiobooks / podcasts). It is also possible to use a structured library-style browsing.

The default browse category is artists. To change the category used, go back up the menu tree to its first level, then select the desired category (playlists for example) and confirm to go down the tree to the desired track.

The car radio software version may be incompatible with the generation of the Apple player.

Information and Advice

The system supports USB Mass Storage portable players, BlackBerry devices or Apple players via the USB ports. The adapter cable is not supplied.

The device is managed using the audio system controls.

Other devices that are not recognised by the system when connected must be connected to the auxiliary socket using a Jack cable (not supplied) or via Bluetooth streaming, depending on compatibility.

To protect the system, do not use a USB hub.

The car radio reads audio files with the extensions ".wav, .wma, .aac, .ogg, .mp3" at a bit rate between 32 Kbps and 320 Kbps.

It also supports VBR (Variable Bit Rate) mode.

Any other file type (.mp4 for example) cannot be played.

".wma" files must be standard WMA 9 format.

Supported sampling frequencies are 11, 22, 44 and 48 kHz.

It is advisable to name files with fewer than 20 characters, excluding special characters (e.g. " " ? . ; ù), to avoid any playback or display problems.

Use only USB keys formatted as FAT32 (File Allocation Table).

It is recommended to use the original USB cable of the portable device.
