FAULT READING

The following faults can be read using the diagnostic tool:

  • tyre transmitter module battery worn,
  • tyre transmitter module not detected (absent or faulty).

ACTIVATING / DEACTIVATING THE UNDERINFLATION FUNCTION

This operation can be carried out at the factory or by After-Sales.

The underinflation warning function can be activated or deactivated depending on the presence or absence of tyre transmitters.

To carry out this operation, configure the BSI parameter that sets the underinflation warning function to active or inactive via the diagnostic socket.

PROCEDURES

Transmitter modules are delivered inactive; they become operational as soon as the inertia switch closes at the start of driving.

After replacing a module, it is essential to have the BSI learn the identification code of the new module.

A forcer is used together with the diagnostic tool for learning.

A forcer emits a signal at 125 kHz for 7 seconds.

The wheel transmitter module is fitted with a transponder-type antenna.

After receiving the signal for 5 seconds, the module transmits five successive identical frames containing the identifier.

These messages are specific and contain the indication “learning mode” in the “function code” field, allowing the diagnostic tool to have the BSI learn this new code.

Note: When replacing a tyre, the valve sealing ring must be replaced.
