Range indicators
When the AdBlue tank reaches the reserve level, or when a fault in the SCR exhaust gas treatment system is detected, the indicator shows, when the ignition is switched on, the estimated distance in kilometres the vehicle can travel before engine starting is blocked.
If a fault and a low AdBlue level are detected at the same time, the lower of the range values is displayed.
Range greater than 2400 km When the ignition is switched on, no range information is displayed automatically in the instrument cluster.
If there is a risk that the engine will not start due to lack of AdBlue additive
The statutory engine start-blocking device activates automatically as soon as the AdBlue tank is empty.Range between 600 and 2400 km
When the ignition is switched on, the UREA indicator lights up together with an audible signal and a message (e.g. "Top up exhaust treatment additive: Starting prohibited in 1500 km") showing the driving range in kilometres or miles.
While driving, the message is displayed every 300 km until the additive tank level is restored.
Contact a CITROËN dealer or a specialist workshop to top up the AdBlue additive.
The additive can also be topped up yourself.

Range between 0 and 600 km
When the ignition is switched on, the SERVICE indicator lights up and the UREA indicator flashes together with an audible signal and a message (e.g. "Top up exhaust treatment additive: Starting prohibited in 600 km") showing the driving range in kilometres or miles.
While driving, the message is displayed every 30 seconds until the additive tank level is restored.
Contact a CITROËN dealer or a specialist workshop to top up the AdBlue additive.
The additive can also be topped up yourself.
Otherwise, it will not be possible to restart the vehicle.

Fault related to lack of AdBlue additive
When the ignition is switched on, the SERVICE warning light comes on and the UREA warning light flashes, accompanied by an audible signal and the message "Refill exhaust treatment additive: Starting prohibited".
The AdBlue tank is empty: the approved starting lockout device prevents the engine from restarting.
To restart the engine, we recommend contacting a CITROËN dealer or a specialist workshop to add the correct amount of additive. If you carry out this operation yourself, you must pour at least 3.8 litres of AdBlue into the tank.Test yourself
