- Rather than warming up the engine while stationary, it is better to drive gently, without placing a heavy load on the engine, until it reaches its correct operating temperature.

- Fast driving is expensive.
- "Sporty" driving is expensive, so it is recommended to drive "smoothly".
- Avoid unnecessary braking; so when you see an obstacle or bend ahead, it is best to use engine braking by simply taking your foot off the accelerator.
- Avoid sudden acceleration.
- Do not let the engine rev too high when changing gear.
Drive in the highest possible gear, without overloading the engine.
In vehicles with automatic gearbox, it is best to drive with the selector lever in position D.
- When driving uphill, do not try to maintain a constant speed or accelerate more than on flat ground: it is best to keep the accelerator pedal at a steady position.
- Pressing the clutch repeatedly and revving the engine before switching it off are unnecessary on modern vehicles.
- Driving in bad weather, on roads flooded with water.
Do not drive on roads where water reaches above the lower edge of the wheel rims.
