The warning display will illuminate, showing the system status, when the vehicle is in REVERSE and an obstacle is detected.

The system will indicate a detected obstacle by showing one arc in the left and/or right front or rear areas, depending on the distance to the object and its position relative to the vehicle.

If an object is detected in the left and/or right rear area, the display will show one arc in the left and/or right rear area, and the system will sound a tone. As the vehicle approaches the object, the display will show a single arc approaching the vehicle, and the tone will change from a single 1/2-second tone to slow, to fast, to continuous.

The vehicle is approaching an obstacle when one flashing arc is shown on the instrument cluster display and a continuous tone sounds. The following diagram shows the warning alert activation when the system detects an obstacle:

NOTE:

ParkSense will reduce the radio volume, if it is on, when the system sounds the tone.

Adjustable Chime Volume Settings

The rear chime volume settings can be selected in the Uconnect system.

Chime volume settings include low, medium, and high volume levels.

ParkSense will retain its last known configuration state through ignition cycles.
