Emergency operation

If the control buttons do not work, the sliding/tilting roof can be moved manually as described below:

• remove the protective cover B (Fig. 25) located in the interior trim between the two sun visors;
• remove the Allen key supplied as standard equipment (stored in the tool compartment in the boot), insert it into socket A (Fig. 25) and turn it clockwise to open the roof, or counterclockwise to close the roof.

CAUTION

28) When leaving the vehicle, always remove the key from the ignition switch to avoid unexpected operation of the sliding/tilting roof, which would endanger the safety of persons remaining in the vehicle. Improper use of the roof can be dangerous. Before and during roof operation, always make sure that passengers are not at risk of injury directly caused by the moving roof, and that personal belongings will not be drawn in or crushed by the roof.

CAUTION

5) When a transverse roof rack is fitted, it is recommended to use the roof only in the "spoiler" position. In addition, do not open the roof when there is snow or ice on it, as there is a risk of damaging it.
