Operating conditions
This system is active at speeds above 15 km/h.
In certain situations, for example during sporty driving or on specific road surfaces (ice, snow, bumps, etc.), the warning may be delayed or only partial in detecting a simultaneous pressure drop in several tyres.
In certain circumstances (e.g. when the vehicle is unevenly loaded on one side, when towing a trailer, in case of tyre damage or wear, when using the temporary spare wheel, the "Fix&Go Automatic" kit, when using snow chains, or when using different tyres on the axles), the system may give incorrect indications (signals) or switch off temporarily.
If the system switches off temporarily, the warning light
will flash
for about 75 seconds, then remain on steadily; at the same time, a specific message will appear on the display.
These indications will also appear after switching the engine off and on again, if the correct operating conditions are not restored.
CAUTION
65) If the system signals a pressure drop in a specific tyre, it is recommended to check the pressure in all four tyres.
66) The iTPMS system does not release the driver from the obligation to check tyre pressure monthly; it is not a substitute for maintenance or safety checks.
67) Tyre pressure should be checked when the tyres are cold. If for any reason the pressure is checked on warm tyres, do not reduce the pressure even if it exceeds the recommended value; repeat the check when the tyres are cold.
68) The iTPMS system cannot signal a sudden loss of tyre pressure (for example, in the event of a burst tyre). In such a situation, stop the vehicle by braking carefully and without sudden steering.
69) The system only warns of low tyre pressure: it cannot inflate the tyres.
70) Insufficient tyre inflation increases fuel consumption, reduces tread life and may affect safe vehicle handling.
