   Fan speed control: adjusts the volume of air circulating inside the vehicle. Turn to select the desired fan speed or switch the fan off completely. If the fan is switched off, the windshield may fog up.

   Recirculated air: press the button to switch between outside air and recirculated air. When recirculated air is selected, the button illuminates and the air currently inside the passenger compartment is recirculated. This can reduce the time needed to cool the passenger compartment and prevent unwanted odors from entering the vehicle.

   Temperature control: adjusts the temperature of the air circulating inside the vehicle. Turn to select the desired temperature. When MAX A/C is selected, recirculated air and air conditioning (A/C) switch on automatically with the temperature set to minimum, except when the airflow is directed toward the windshield. In this case, the recirculation system does not switch on. If air conditioning (A/C) or recirculated air is switched off, the MAX A/C function is switched off automatically.

   Air conditioning system (if fitted): press this button to switch the air conditioning on or off. The air conditioning system cools the passenger compartment. To improve the performance of the air conditioning system, drive with the windows slightly open for the first two or three minutes.

   Air distribution control: turn to select the desired air distribution.

   Rear window heater: this button switches the rear window heater on and off. See Heated Glass.

Select to distribute air through the vents below the windshield and in the footwell.

Select to distribute air through the vents below the windshield. This setting can also be used to defrost and remove a thin layer of ice from the windshield. To improve clearing, you can also increase the temperature and fan speed.

Note: When the defrost mode is selected, air conditioning switches on automatically and the recirculation system is set to outside air. To switch recirculated air on or switch the air conditioning off, press the A/C button again.
