Interior Climate Control Tips
DANGER
Prolonged use of recirculated air may cause the windows to mist up. If the glass mists up, follow the instructions for defogging the windscreen.
Note: A small airflow may be felt from the footwell vents regardless of the air distribution setting.Note: To reduce moisture build-up inside the vehicle, do not drive with the system switched off or with air distribution permanently set to recirculation.
Note: Do not place objects under the front seats, as they may obstruct the airflow to the rear seats.Note: Remove any snow, ice or leaves from the air intake area at the base of the windscreen.
Manual temperature controlNote: To reduce windscreen fogging in humid weather, set the air distribution control to the windscreen position.
Automatic temperature controlNote: Settings do not need to be adjusted when the vehicle interior is extremely hot or cold. The system automatically adjusts to heat or cool the cabin to the selected temperature as quickly as possible. For efficient system operation, the side and dashboard vents must be fully open.
Note: At low ambient temperatures with AUTO selected, the airflow is directed at the windscreen and side windows for as long as the engine is cold.Note: When the system is switched off, outside air will not enter the vehicle.
Note: When AUTO mode is selected and the interior and exterior temperatures are high, the system automatically selects recirculation to cool the cabin more quickly. When the desired air temperature is reached, the system automatically selects outside air.Note: When defrost and windscreen defogging are selected, the dashboard and footwell functions are automatically switched off and the air conditioning system is switched on. Outside air is drawn into the vehicle.
