  1. Fan speed: adjusts the volume of air circulating inside the vehicle. Turn the control to select the desired fan speed. The setting is shown on the display.
  2. MAX A/C: press the button to maximize cooling. Recirculated air is delivered through the vents on the instrument panel, air conditioning switches on automatically, and the fan speed adjusts automatically to maximum speed.
  3. Air conditioning system: press this button to switch the air conditioning compressor on or off. To improve performance and cooling efficiency, use the air conditioning system together with recirculated air. In some cases (e.g. maximum defrost), the air conditioning compressor may continue to run even when the system is switched off.
  4. Recirculated air: press the button to switch between outside air and recirculated air. When recirculated air is selected, the air currently inside the passenger compartment is recirculated. This function can reduce the time needed to cool the passenger compartment (when used with the A/C function) and prevent unwanted odors from entering the vehicle.
  5. MAX Defrost: press the button to activate defrost mode. Outside air is directed through the windscreen vents, air conditioning switches on automatically and fan speed is automatically set to maximum. This setting can also be used to defrost and remove a thin layer of ice from the windscreen. When maximum defrost mode is selected, the heated rear window switches on automatically.
  6. Temperature control: adjusts the temperature of the air circulating inside the vehicle. Turn to select the desired temperature. The setting appears on the display. Note: temperatures between 21°C and 27°C are considered comfortable for the human body. Set the temperature to a reasonable value.
  7. Heated rear window: switches the heated rear window on and off. See Heated Glass.
  8. AUTO: press the button to activate automatic operation. Select the desired temperature using the temperature control. The system automatically controls fan speed, air distribution and air conditioning operation, and selects outside or recirculated air to heat or cool the vehicle in order to maintain the desired temperature.
  9. Air distribution control: turn the control to open or close the airflow to the windscreen, dashboard or footwell vents. Adjusting the vents in your preferred combination lets you vary the air distribution as required.
  10. On and Off button: press the button to switch the system on and off.
