Driving on Wet Roads
In this manual: Driving and Operation
~1min read
Rain and wet roads can reduce vehicle traction and affect your ability to stop and accelerate. Always drive more slowly in these conditions and avoid driving through large puddles and standing or flowing water.
Hydroplaning
Hydroplaning is dangerous. Water may build up under the tires so they effectively ride on the water. This can occur if the road is wet enough and you are driving fast enough. When a vehicle hydroplanes, it has little or no contact with the road.
There are no hard and fast rules about hydroplaning. The best advice is to reduce speed when the road is wet.
Other Wet Weather Driving Tips
