"Hands Free" Phone System (HFT)

Using Voice Commands

~2min read

General voice command guidelines:

Before giving a command, press the TALK button. Then, after hearing a short beep, speak the command clearly.

For more reliable command recognition, it is recommended to set the air conditioner fan to a low speed and not to direct airflow from the center vents toward the ceiling.

If the HFT system does not recognize a command, it will respond "Pardon". If it still does not recognize the command the second time, it will respond "Please, repeat". If it does not recognize the command the third time, a melodic tone Help will sound.

To hear a list of available system functions, you can press the TALK button at any time, wait for the beep, and say "Hands free link help".

Many commands can be spoken continuously.

For example, the dial command can be spoken as: "Dial 123 456 7891".

To enter a string of numbers with the Dial and Call commands, you can say all the digits together or in parts:

3, 4, 7, 10 or 11.

To skip the voice prompt, press the TALK button while the text is being spoken. The system will immediately be ready to receive your next command.

To return one step back, say "Go back" or press the BACK button. If nothing is spoken while the HFT system is waiting for your command, the system suspends command recognition. When you press the TALK button again, the system continues command recognition from the point where you stopped.

To cancel command entry at any time, press and hold the BACK button, or press the TALK button, wait for the beep, and say "Cancel".

The next time you press the TALK button, the dialog with the system will start from the main menu.

After the command input mode ends, the HFT system returns to the main menu.

For example, if you have stored the name Eric in the system memory, the system will respond: "Eric has been stored". At the next session with the system, it will start the dialog from the main menu.
