If a password is set, you can lock the system so that it activates only after the password is entered.

1. The system will prompt for the password each time the ignition key is turned to the ON (II) position, followed by pressing the TALK button. The password is requested only once per ignition cycle. If you lock the system, it will display the message: "The system is locked." "What is the four digit password?"

2. Press and release the TALK button. After the tone, say your four-digit password. For example, say "1, 2, 3, 4."

3. If the password is correct, the HFT system will respond: "Main menu."

If the password is incorrect, the system will respond:

"Password 1, 2, 3, 4 is incorrect. Please try again." Return to step 2.

If you forget the password, you will need to contact a dealer to cancel it.
