Phonebook Management

The HFT system allows you to store up to 50 contact names with their associated phone numbers in the phonebook.

Any type of name and number is allowed.

For example, you can store a phone number and use it to call a party, or you can store any name that you will use when making a call.

To add a name to the phonebook, do the following:

1. Press and release the TALK button. After the signal, say "Phonebook". The HFT system responds: "Phonebook options are store, edit, delete and list".

2. Press and release the TALK button. After the signal, say "Store". The system asks: "What name would you like to store?" 3. Press and release the TALK button. After the signal, say the name you have chosen.

For example, say "Eric". The HFT system asks: "What is the number of Eric?" 4. Press and release the TALK button. After the signal, say the number. For example, say "123 456 7891". The system repeats the number (123 456 7891).

5. Press and release the TALK button. After the signal, say "Enter". The system confirms: "Eric has been stored". "Returning to the main menu".

To edit the phone number for a specific name in the phonebook, do the following:

1. Press and release the TALK button. After the signal, say "Phonebook". The HFT system responds: "Phonebook options are store, edit, delete and list".

2. Press and release the TALK button. After the tone, say "Edit."

The system asks: "What name would you like to edit?" 3. Press and release the TALK button. After the signal, say the name you have chosen.

For example, say "Eric". The HFT system asks: "What is the new number of Eric?" 4. Press and release the TALK button. After the signal, say the new phone number for Eric. For example, say "987 654 3219".

The system repeats the number (987 654 3219).

5. Press and release the TALK button. After the signal, say "Enter". The system confirms: "The number has been changed". "Returning to the main menu".

To delete a name from the phonebook, do the following:

1. Press and release the TALK button. After the signal, say "Phonebook". The HFT system responds: "Phonebook options are store, edit, delete and list".

2. Press and release the TALK button. After the signal, say "Delete".

The system asks: "What name would you like to delete?"

3. Press and release the TALK button. After the signal, say the name you have chosen.

For example, say "Eric". The system asks: "Would you like to delete Eric?" 4. Press and release the TALK button. After the signal, say "Yes". The HFT system responds: "The name has been deleted". "Returning to the main menu".

To display a list of all names in the phonebook, do the following:

1. Press and release the TALK button. After the signal, say "Phonebook". The HFT system responds: "Phonebook options are store, edit, delete and list".

2. Press and release the TALK button. After the signal, say "List". The HFT system reads all phone entries stored in the phonebook. When it reaches the end of the list, the HFT system announces: "The entire list has been read".

To call a number from the phonebook list, do the following:

1. Press and release the TALK button. After the signal, say "Phonebook". The HFT system responds: "Phonebook options are store, edit, delete and list".

2. Press and release the TALK button. After the signal, say "List". The HFT system reads all phone entries stored in the phonebook. When it reaches the desired name, for example Eric, press the TALK button and say "Call". The HFT system asks: "Would you like to call Eric?" 3. Press and release the TALK button. After the signal, say "Yes". The HFT system responds: "Calling". After the connection is made, you will hear the other party through the audio system speakers. You can adjust the volume of the other party's voice using the audio system volume control.
