Erasing All Information

Performing this operation will erase the following from the HFT system memory: the password, data on phones paired with the system, and all names and phone numbers from the phonebook. Perform this operation before selling your vehicle.

To erase all HFT system information, proceed as follows:

1. Press and release the TALK button. After the beep, say "System". The HFT system will respond: "System options are setup and clear".

2. Press and release the TALK button. After the tone, say "Clear". The HFT system will respond: "This process will clear all paired phones, clear all entries in the phonebook, and clear the password and restore the defaults in the system set up" (The following will be erased:

the password, data on paired phones, and all names and phone numbers; factory settings will be restored). "Is this what you would like to do?" 3. Press and release the TALK button. After the tone, say "Yes". The HFT system will respond: "Preparing to clear all paired phones, all phonebook entries, and the password, and restore the defaults in the system set up" (The system is preparing to erase the password, data on paired phones, and all names and phone numbers; factory settings will be restored). "This may take up to 2 minutes to complete" (The process will take up to 2 minutes).

To confirm, say "OK". To cancel, say "Go back" or "Cancel".

4. If you say "OK", the system will clear the memory and respond: "System has been cleared".
