When loading your vehicle, keep in mind that the total weight of the vehicle with passengers, cargo, and a trailer hitch must not exceed the maximum allowable value. Under any loading condition, the load on the front and rear axles must also not exceed the maximum allowable values. For maximum allowable gross vehicle weight and axle weights, see page 488.

For vehicles sold in Australia: When loading your vehicle, keep in mind that the total weight of the vehicle with passengers and cargo must not exceed the maximum allowable value.
