Ignition Switch, Ignition Coils
IGNITION SWITCH INSPECTION
1. Disconnect the ignition switch connector located under the steering column.
2. Check the continuity between the connector terminals as shown in the illustration.

indicates that there is continuity between the terminals.

IGNITION COIL INSPECTION

1. Measure the primary winding resistance between terminals 1 and 2 of connectors C18-2 and C68-1 (ignition coil for cylinders No. 1 and No. 4) of the ignition coil, and between terminals 1 and 2 of connectors C18-1 and C68-2 (ignition coil for cylinders No. 2 and No. 3) of the ignition coil.
Standard value: 0.5 ± 0.05 Ω

2. Measure the secondary winding resistance between the high-voltage terminals for cylinders No. 1 and No. 4, and between the high-voltage terminals for cylinders No. 2 and No. 3.
Standard value: 12.1 ± 1.8 kΩ
Before measuring the secondary winding resistance, make sure the ignition coil connector is disconnected.
