Using the Digital Key

To use the Hyundai Digital Key mobile application, you must install the Hyundai Digital Key application. Search for "Hyundai Digital Key" in the Google Play Store and download the application. Refer to the detailed digital key application manual. The option can be found in the following application menu:

Menu → Application Information → Tutorial

Read the manual before using the application.

This service is available only for Android smartphones. Please check supported/compatible devices on our website.

WARNING

For a used vehicle

If any digital keys (smartphone key or card key) are already registered when you press the ON button after unlocking the door, the message "Digital key(s) active" appears on the instrument cluster once. If you purchase a used vehicle, you must confirm the message and delete the registered smartphone key and card key. Also, please contact the Hyundai Customer Service Center.

If the card key does not operate properly, delete the card key, register the smartphone key, and re-register the card key.

For vehicle service

If you need to repair or replace the digital key system, make sure your smartphone key is still active. You may need to re-pair your phone.

In this case, re-initialize your digital keys using the Hyundai Digital Key mobile application.

Digital Key (Smartphone) NFC Function

You can use the Digital Key NFC (Near Field Communication) function after enabling the NFC function in the smartphone settings. You must unlock and turn on the smartphone screen to use it.

* To change the smartphone NFC mode, refer to the smartphone owner's manual or contact the smartphone manufacturer's customer service center.
