Remote Start

You can start the engine and operate the climate control system by pressing the remote start button (5) outside the vehicle.

To remote start and stop the engine:

1. Press the door lock button (1), then the hazard warning lights flash once to alert you.

2. Press and hold the remote start button (5) for more than 2 seconds to start the engine within 4 seconds after pressing the door lock button (1).

3. To stop the engine, press the remote start button (5) again.

In manual control, the climate control system will remain on even when the engine is turned off. However, the automatic operating temperature is set to 22 °C.

If someone without an assigned Smart Key operates your vehicle while remote starting, the engine will automatically stop for safety reasons.

Information

After remote starting the engine, the engine will turn off automatically after 10 minutes if you do not drive the vehicle.

CAUTION

• Remote start will not work if you exceed the operating range limit (approximately 10 m).
• Avoid running the engine at idle for extended periods, and observe the emission regulations in your area.
• Laws in your country may restrict the use of remote start. You must check the local regulations before using this remote start system.
• The engine can be started remotely only when the shift lever is in P (Park).
• If the hood or trunk is open, you cannot start the engine remotely.
