Daytime Running Light (DRL)

~1min read

Daytime Running Lights (DRL) can help make your vehicle more visible to others from the front during the day, especially after dawn and before sunset.

For USA

The DRL turns off when:

1. The light switch is not in the AUTO position.

2. The parking brake is engaged.

3. The engine is off.

4. The hazard warning flasher is on.

5. You turn on the turn signal.

- If you turn on the turn signal, only the corresponding daytime running light turns off.

For Canada

The DRL turns off when:

1. The light switch is in the headlamp position, which allows the headlamps to turn on automatically when in the AUTO position.

2. The parking brake is engaged.

3. The engine is off.

4. The hazard warning flasher is on.

5. You turn on the turn signal.

- If you turn on the turn signal, only the corresponding daytime running light turns off.
- If you turn on the turn signal while the parking lamps are on, the daytime running lights will turn off, but the parking lamps will remain on.

Headlamp Leveling Device

Automatically adjusts the headlamp beam level according to the number of passengers and the load in the luggage compartment.

If the headlamp leveling device does not operate properly, have your vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

Headlamp Washer

Washer fluid will be sprayed onto the headlamps at the same time you operate the windshield washer when:

1. The Engine Start/Stop button is in the ON position.

2. The light switch is in the headlamp position (low beam).

✽ NOTICE

  • Check the headlamp washers periodically to make sure the washer fluid sprays normally onto the headlamp lenses.
  • The headlamp washer may operate up to 15 minutes after the last operation.
