Removal

Pneumatic Lumbar Support and Bolster Assembly

   Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

   Remove the front seatback cover. (Refer to Body - "Front Seatback Cover".)

   Remove the front seatback (A) after loosening the mounting clip.

   Unscrew the mounting screws and remove the air bolsters.

   Remove the air lumbar and bolster assembly after loosening the mounting clip.

   

Installation

   Install the air lumbar and bolster assembly.

   Install the front seatback cover.
3. 3
   Check the air lumbar support and bolster assembly for normal operation.

Inspection

1. 1
   Electrical system malfunctions can be quickly diagnosed using the Global Diagnostic System (GDS). The diagnostic system (GDS) provides the following information.

   1. Self-Diagnosis: Malfunction, DTC and Display Check
   2. Current Data: Check the system input/output status.
   3. Actuation Test: Check Operation of the System.
   4. Additional Functions: Other controls such as system option and zero point adjustment.

   Select "Vehicle Model" and the system to be checked to inspect the vehicle with the tester.

   Select the module to check the pneumatic lumbar support and bolster system. Select "BCM" and "Driver Seat Door Module" and "Assistant Seat Door Module" (Air Lumbar and Bolster System) to check the driver seat or assistant door module (air lumbar and bolster system).

   Select the "Current Data" menu to check the current status of inputs/outputs. Inputs/outputs for the sensors related to the Driver Seat or Assistant Door Module (Air Lumbar and Bolster System) can be checked.

   To forcibly activate the input value of the module under test, select the "Activation Test" option.

   Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

   Remove the front seatback rear cover. (Refer to Body - "Front Seatback Cover")

   Disconnect the Air Lumbar & Bolster unit connector.

   After supplying power to the air pump and voltage to each switch, check that the pneumatic lumbar support operates normally.
