Parking Assist System Operation

~1min read

Operating Condition

- When the engine start/stop button is in the ON position
- When the shift lever is in the D or R position
- When the vehicle speed does not exceed 6 mph (10 km/h)

Press the parking assist system button to the ON position to turn on the parking assist system. The indicator in the button will illuminate.

To cancel the system, press the button again. The indicator in the button will turn off.

  • The system will operate automatically whenever the vehicle speed is below 10 km/h while the system is on.
  • When you shift the shift lever to the R position with the system off, the indicator in the button will illuminate and the system will operate automatically regardless of the button position. However, if the vehicle speed exceeds 20 km/h while moving forward, the indicator in the button will turn off. The system will not operate automatically again even if the vehicle speed returns to 10 km/h. To turn on the system, press the parking assist system button.
  • When more than two objects are detected at the same time, the nearest one will be recognized first.
