The label located on the driver's door pillar shows the original tire size, the recommended cold tire inflation pressure for your vehicle, the number of people that can be in your vehicle, and the vehicle's maximum load capacity (weight).
Vehicle Load Capacity
904 lbs. (410 kg)
Maximum load capacity is the total weight of passengers and cargo. If your vehicle is equipped with a trailer, the total weight includes the trailer tongue load.
Seating Capacity
Total: 5 persons (Front seat: 2 persons, Rear seat: 3 persons)
Seating capacity is the maximum number of occupants, including the driver, that your vehicle can carry. However, the number of seated occupants may be reduced depending on the weight of all passengers and the weight of the cargo or trailer being towed. Do not overload the vehicle, as the total weight or load limit, including passengers and cargo, is the maximum the vehicle can carry.
Towing Capacity
We do not recommend using this vehicle to tow a trailer.
Load Capacity
The load capacity of your vehicle will increase or decrease depending on the weight and number of passengers and the trailer tongue load if your vehicle is equipped with a trailer.
Steps to Determine Correct Load Limit
1. Find the statement "The combined weight of occupants and cargo should never exceed XXX kg or XXX lbs" on your vehicle's placard.
2. Determine the combined weight of the driver and passengers that will be riding in your vehicle.
3. Subtract the combined weight of the driver and passengers from XXX kg or XXX lbs.
4. The resulting figure is the available cargo and luggage load capacity. For example, if the "XXX" amount is 1400 lbs. and there will be five 150-lb passengers in your vehicle, the available cargo and luggage load capacity is 650 lbs. (1400 - 750 (5 x 150) = 650 lbs.)
5. Determine the combined weight of luggage and cargo being loaded on the vehicle. This weight must not safely exceed the available cargo and luggage load capacity calculated in step 4.
6. If your vehicle will tow a trailer, the load from your trailer will be transferred to your vehicle. Refer to this manual to determine how this reduces the available cargo and luggage load capacity of your vehicle.
WARNING
Do not overload your vehicle. There is a limit to the total weight, or load limit, including passengers and cargo, that the vehicle can carry. Overloading may shorten the life of the vehicle. If the GVWR or GAWR is exceeded, parts on the vehicle may break and the handling of your vehicle may change. This may cause you to lose control and cause an accident.

Certification Label

The certification label is located on the driver's door pillar (B-pillar) and shows the maximum permissible weight of the fully loaded vehicle. This is called the GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating). The GVWR includes the weight of the vehicle, all passengers, fuel, and cargo.
This label also shows the maximum weight that can be supported by the front and rear axles, called the Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR).
The total weight of the vehicle, including all passengers, accessories, cargo, and trailer tongue load, must not exceed the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or the Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR). To determine the actual loads on your front and rear axles, go to a weigh station and weigh the vehicle. Always distribute the load evenly on both sides of the centerline.
WARNING
Overloading
- Never exceed the GVWR for your vehicle, the GAWR for either the front or rear axle, or the vehicle's load capacity. Exceeding these values may affect the handling and braking performance of your vehicle and cause an accident.
- Do not overload your vehicle. Overloading the vehicle may cause heat buildup in the vehicle's tires and possible tire failure, longer stopping distances, and poor vehicle handling, all of which may lead to an accident.
CAUTION
Overloading the vehicle may cause damage. Repairs will not be covered by your warranty. Do not overload your vehicle.
WARNING
If you carry items inside the vehicle (such as suitcases, tools, bags, or anything else), they will move at the same speed as the vehicle. If you need to stop or turn suddenly, or if a collision occurs, the items will continue moving and may cause injury if they strike the driver or a passenger.
- Place items in the luggage compartment of your vehicle. Try to distribute the weight evenly.
- Do not stack items, such as suitcases, inside the vehicle above the top of the seatbacks.
- Do not leave a child restraint unattended in your vehicle.
- When you carry something inside the vehicle, secure it.
