➀ Cruise indicator
➁ Set speed
➂ Distance between vehicles
The Smart Cruise Control system allows you to program the vehicle to maintain a constant speed and distance from a detected vehicle ahead without pressing the accelerator pedal.
WARNING
For your safety, read the owner's manual before using the Smart Cruise Control system.
WARNING
The Smart Cruise Control system does not replace safe driving practices; it is a convenience feature only. It is the driver's responsibility to always monitor speed and the distance to the vehicle ahead.
WARNING
Observe the following precautions:
- If Smart Cruise Control is left on (the CRUISE indicator in the instrument cluster is illuminated), Smart Cruise Control may be activated unintentionally. Keep the Smart Cruise Control system turned off (CRUISE indicator off) when Smart Cruise Control is not in use to avoid accidentally setting a speed.
- Use the Smart Cruise Control system only when driving on open roads in good weather conditions.
- Do not use Smart Cruise Control when it may be unsafe to maintain a constant speed:
- Driving in heavy or variable traffic.
- On slippery (wet, icy, or snow-covered) roads.
- On hilly or winding roads.
- In very windy areas.
