Three-point seat belt
To fasten the seat belt:
Pull it out of the retractor and insert the metal tongue (1) into the buckle (2). A click indicates that the tongue is locked into the buckle.
The belt adjusts automatically to the correct length only after the lap portion has been manually adjusted so that it fits comfortably around the hips. If you lean forward slowly, the belt extends and allows free movement.
However, in the event of a sudden stop or impact, the belt locks in position.
It also locks if you attempt to lean forward too quickly.
NOTE
If the belt cannot be pulled out of the retractor, give it a firm tug and then release it.
After release, the seat belt should extend smoothly from the retractor.
