WARNING
Fire
A hot exhaust system can ignite flammable materials under the vehicle. Do not park the vehicle on or near flammable materials such as dry grass, plants, paper, leaves, etc.
Your vehicle is equipped with a catalytic emission control device.
Therefore, observe the following precautions:
- Use only UNLEADED GASOLINE for gasoline engines.
- Do not drive the vehicle if you notice signs of engine malfunction, such as misfiring or a noticeable drop in performance.
- Do not abuse or misuse the engine. Improper use includes, for example, leaving the vehicle with the ignition off while driving, or coasting down a steep hill in gear with the ignition off.
- Do not run the engine at high speed for extended periods (5 minutes or more).
- Do not modify or make changes to any part of the engine or emission control system. We recommend having your vehicle checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
- Avoid driving with extremely low fuel. Fuel starvation may cause misfiring, which can damage the catalytic converter.
Failure to observe these precautions may damage the catalytic converter and your vehicle. In addition, such modifications may void your warranty.
