Smart Key Precautions

~1min read

The Smart Key may not work if any of the following occurs:

  • The smart key may not operate normally near a radio transmitter, such as a broadcasting station or airport, which can cause interference.
  • The smart key may not operate normally near a two-way radio system or mobile phone.
  • The smart key of another vehicle may operate near your vehicle.

If the smart key does not operate properly, lock and unlock the door with the mechanical key. If you have a problem with the smart key, it is recommended that you contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

If the smart key is in close proximity to a mobile phone, the signal may be blocked by the phone's normal operating signals. This is especially likely when the phone is active, for example when making or receiving calls, text messages, and/or sending or receiving e-mails.

Avoid placing the smart key and your mobile phone in the same place, and always try to keep an adequate distance between the two devices.
