Tilt/Telescopic Steering Column
WARNING
Never adjust the steering wheel while driving. You may lose control of the vehicle and cause serious injury, death, or an accident.
Information
After adjustment, the steering wheel may sometimes not lock when the lever is released.
This is not a malfunction. It occurs when the two levers are not engaged correctly. In this case, adjust the steering wheel again, then lock the steering wheel.

Pull down the lock release lever (1) on the steering column and adjust the steering wheel angle (2) and height (3). Position the steering wheel so that it points toward your chest, not your face.
Make sure you can see the instrument panel warning lights and gauges.
After adjustment, pull the lock lever up (1) to lock the steering wheel in place. Push and pull the steering wheel up and down to make sure it is locked in position. Always adjust the steering wheel position before driving.
