Changing the LKA System Function

~1min read
Hyundai Ioniq. LKA System Function Change

The driver can change LKA to the Lane Departure Warning (LDW) system, or change the LKA system mode between Active LKA and Standard LKA, from the user settings mode on the LCD display.

LDW warns the driver with a visual and audible warning when the system detects that the vehicle is leaving its lane. In this mode, the steering wheel will not be controlled. When the front wheel of the vehicle touches the inner edge of the lane marking, LKA issues a lane departure warning.

Standard LKA

The standard LKA mode helps the driver keep the vehicle within the driving lane. It rarely controls the steering wheel when the vehicle is traveling well within the lane. However, it begins to control the steering wheel when the vehicle is about to drift off course, such as on narrow lanes.

Active LKA

Active LKA mode provides more frequent steering wheel control compared to the standard LKA mode. Active LKA can reduce driver fatigue by assisting steering to keep the vehicle in the center of the lane.
