Driving Your Vehicle
Warning Type
In this manual: Driving Your Vehicle
~2min read

If a vehicle detected by the sensors approaches your vehicle, a warning chime will sound, the outside rearview mirror warning light will flash, and a message will appear on the LCD display.
Information
- The warning chime will stop when:
- The detected vehicle leaves the detection zone, or
- The vehicle is directly behind your vehicle, or
- The vehicle is no longer approaching your vehicle, or
- The other vehicle slows down. - The system may malfunction due to other factors or conditions. Always pay attention to your surroundings.
- If the sensing area near the rear bumper is blocked by a wall, barrier, or parked vehicle, the system's detection range may be reduced.
WARNING
- When the system is activated, the outside rearview mirror warning light illuminates whenever the system detects a vehicle behind you. To avoid accidents, do not rely only on the warning light and do not neglect your surroundings.
- Drive safely even if your vehicle is equipped with the Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning (RCCW) systems. Do not rely solely on the system. Check your surroundings before changing lanes or backing up the vehicle. The system may not warn the driver under some conditions, so always check your surroundings while driving.
- The Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning (RCCW) systems do not replace proper and safe driving practices. Always drive safely and use caution when changing lanes or backing up the vehicle. The Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) system may not detect every object near the vehicle.
NOTICE
- The system may not operate correctly if the bumper is damaged or if the rear bumper has been replaced or repaired.
- The detection range varies depending on the width of the road. When the road is narrow, the system may detect other vehicles in the adjacent lane. When the road is wide, the system may not detect other vehicles in the next lane.
- The system may be deactivated due to strong electromagnetic waves.
