Service Interventions

Before working on the headlights, apply the parking brake, make sure the Engine Start/Stop button is in the OFF position, and turn off the lights to avoid any unexpected vehicle movement and any risk of burns to your fingers or electric shock.

Use only bulbs of the specified wattage.

WARNING

Be sure to replace a burned-out bulb with a bulb of the same wattage so as not to damage the fuse or wiring system.

WARNING

If you do not have the necessary tools, such as a bulb puller, or the experience to complete the procedure, contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer. It is often necessary to remove other vehicle parts to access the bulb. In some cases, it may even be necessary to remove the entire headlamp unit. Removing and replacing the headlamp may cause damage to the vehicle.

NOTICE

After a long drive, driving in heavy rain, or washing the vehicle, the lenses of the headlights and taillights may fog up. This phenomenon occurs due to the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the lamp housing. It resembles the condensation that forms on the inside of windows during rain and is not a sign of a vehicle malfunction. If water has entered the bulb circuits, we recommend having the system checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

❈ Changing Driving Direction (for Europe)

The low beam is asymmetrical. If you drive in a country with the opposite traffic direction, this lighting may dazzle drivers of vehicles you pass. EC regulations recommend several technical solutions (for example, an automatic switching system, adhesive film, or lowering the beam) to avoid this problem. These headlights are designed so as not to dazzle drivers traveling in the opposite direction. Therefore, there is no need to change the headlights if you travel to a country where the traffic direction is reversed.
