The reservoir is translucent, allowing the level to be checked easily at a glance.

Check the level and, if necessary, add washer fluid to the reservoir.

You may use plain water if washer fluid is not available.

In this case, use antifreeze washer fluid if the climate is cold to prevent freezing.

Coolant

• Do not fill the washer reservoir with engine coolant or antifreeze.
• Spraying engine coolant onto the windshield can severely reduce visibility and may cause loss of vehicle control, or damage the paint and body trim.
• Windshield washer fluid contains alcohol and may ignite under certain conditions. Keep the washer fluid and reservoir away from any source of flame or sparks. Otherwise, this may damage the engine or injure vehicle occupants.
• Washer fluid is toxic to humans and animals. Swallowing or contact with this material may cause serious injury or death.
