Information
- The trailer hitch mounting holes are located on both sides of the vehicle, behind the rear wheels, and are covered by the lower protective cover.
- Remove the lower cover located on the left side of the front of the vehicle to install the trailer. Replace the cover after using the trailer.
It is important to use suitable towing equipment. Crosswinds, passing large trucks and driving on uneven roads are all reasons that justify the use of suitable towing equipment. Observe the following rules:
- Do you have to make holes in the body of your vehicle to install your hitch? If so, be sure to seal them when removing the device. If you do not seal them, carbon monoxide (CO) from the exhaust system of your vehicle, water and contaminants may enter the passenger compartment.
- The bumpers of your vehicle are not designed for towing. Do not attach rental hitches or bumpers. Use only a device that must be installed on the chassis, not on the bumper.
- We recommend that you contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer to purchase the necessary towing equipment.
