This system helps protect your vehicle and valuables. The horn will sound and the hazard warning lights will flash continuously if any of the following occur:

- The door is opened without using the remote key or smart key.
- The tailgate is opened without using the remote key or smart key.
- The hood is opened.

The alarm sounds for 30 seconds, then the system resets. To turn off the alarm, unlock the doors with the remote key or smart key.

The alarm system is automatically armed 30 seconds after the doors and tailgate are locked. To arm the system, lock the doors and tailgate from outside the vehicle by doing one of the following:

- Using the remote key or smart key
- Pressing the button on the outside door handle with the smart key in your possession (if equipped with the lock button)
- Touching the touch sensor on the outside door handle with the smart key in your possession (if equipped with the touch sensor)

The hazard warning lights will flash and the horn will sound once to indicate that the system is armed.

Once the security system is armed, opening any door, the tailgate, or the hood without using the remote key or smart key will activate the alarm.

The alarm system will not arm if the hood, tailgate, or any door is not fully closed. If the system does not arm, check that the hood, tailgate, or doors are fully closed.

Do not attempt to modify this system or add other devices to it.

Information

  • Do not lock the doors until all passengers have left the vehicle. If a remaining passenger leaves the vehicle when the system is armed, the alarm will be triggered.
  • If the vehicle is not disarmed with the remote key or smart key, open the doors with the mechanical key and place the ignition key in the ON position (for remote key) or press the ENGINE START/STOP button with the smart key (for smart key).
  • If the system is disarmed by unlocking the vehicle but neither the door nor the tailgate is opened within 30 seconds, the doors will lock again and the system will automatically re-arm.

Information

Vehicles equipped with the anti-theft alarm system will have a label attached to the vehicle with the following words:
