The High Beam Assist system automatically switches between high beam and low beam depending on the brightness of the headlights of oncoming vehicles or the taillights of vehicles ahead.

Detection Sensor

The front view camera is used as a detection sensor to detect ambient light and brightness while driving.

Refer to the illustration above for the detailed location of the detection sensor.

NOTICE

  • Always keep the front view camera clean and in good condition to maintain optimal operation of the high beam control system.
  • For more details on precautions for the front view camera, refer to "Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA)" in chapter 7.
