Inspecting Windshield Washer Fluid Reservoir Level

The reservoir is translucent, allowing the fluid level to be checked visually at a glance.

Check the washer fluid reservoir level and add fluid if necessary. If washer solution is not available, clean water may be used. However, in cold climates, use antifreeze washer solution.

WARNING

• Do not fill the windshield washer reservoir with engine coolant or antifreeze.
• Engine coolant can seriously impair visibility when sprayed onto the windshield and may cause loss of vehicle control, or damage the paint and body trim.
• Windshield washer fluid contains alcohol and may ignite under certain conditions. Keep sparks and open flames away from the washer fluid and the washer fluid reservoir. Failure to do so may cause damage to the vehicle and injury to occupants.
• Windshield washer fluid is poisonous to humans and animals. Do not drink windshield washer fluid. Also avoid skin contact. This may cause serious injury or death.
