Inspecting Power Steering Hose

Before driving, check the connections for leaks, significant damage, and kinks in the power steering hose.

CAUTION

• To prevent damage to the power steering pump, do not operate the vehicle for extended periods with low power steering fluid.
• Do not start the engine when the power steering reservoir is empty.
• When adding fluid, keep dirt out of the reservoir.
• Insufficient fluid may increase the effort required to turn the steering wheel and/or cause noise in the power steering system.
• Using fluid that does not meet specifications may reduce power steering performance and damage its components.
