General Precautions for Interior Care

Do not allow alkaline solutions, such as perfume and cosmetic oils, to contact the instrument panel, as they may damage it or cause discoloration of the material. If such oil does get onto the instrument panel, wipe it off immediately. Refer to the instructions below for cleaning vinyl parts.

Cleaning Upholstery and Interior Trim

Vinyl

Remove dust and light dirt from vinyl surfaces using a brush or vacuum cleaner.

Clean the surfaces with a cleaner specifically designed for vinyl.

Cloth

Remove dust and light dirt from cloth surfaces using a brush or vacuum cleaner.

Clean with a solution of non-alkaline soap recommended for cloth upholstery or floor mats. Remove fresh stains as soon as possible using a stain remover for fabrics. If a fresh stain is left unattended, the fabric may become discolored and its appearance may be impaired.

In addition, if the material is not properly maintained, its flame resistance may be reduced.

Cleaning the Combination Lap and Shoulder Seat Belt Webbing

Clean the webbing with a solution of non-alkaline soap recommended for cloth upholstery or floor mats. Follow the soap manufacturer's instructions. Do not bleach or dye woven belts, as this may reduce their strength.

Cleaning the Inside of the Glass

If the inner surfaces of the vehicle windows have fogged up (i.e.

have become coated with an oily, greasy or waxy film), clean them using a glass cleaner. Follow the instructions on the glass cleaner packaging.

This may damage the rear window defroster grid lines.
