Inspection

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the lower crash pad panel. (Refer to Group BD - "Crash Pad")
  3. Remove the side hazard switch assembly (A), as shown in the illustration below.
    Wear gloves to protect your hands.
  4. Remove the rheostat switch (A) after disconnecting the connectors.
    Be careful not to damage the hook when removing the rheostat switch.
  5. Turn on the switch and check the continuity between the terminals using an ohmmeter.
